Its like the game's costumes are taken from an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog. Most of the jackets don't have undershirts and only button up at the top so you can see your bellybutton on most of them. I like the new direction the series is going and while it's still in it's growing pains, I much prefer the overall experience to that shitfest in GE.ĭon't even get me started on the armor. Weapons are a bit more unique this time around, the new ones are cool and the open world really helps it separate itself from MH. Thankfully, in my short time with Toukiden 2, most of those problems are fixed. Toukiden 1's gameplay is pretty dull and stale and a shitty copy of MH, with a completely obtuse Mitama system and some half-baked ideas. On the other hand, Toukiden has a really comfy and emotional story that doesn't dip too far into your typical Japanese melodrama. The padding in the game is insane and it isn't helped by the fact that most of the padding consists of the same kongou-type monsters you fought in the first 4 hours of the game. ![]() There is a point where someone is in the hospital who needs to give you some crucial information, but for some retarded reason she can't just tell you everything at once, instead you have to go on something like 5 filler missions in a row just to wait for her to recover. I spent 50+ hours in GE2 just clawing my way out of low rank because of how much sheer filler is in the game. I really can't recommend GE to any but the most masochistic or desperate MH players because of how hard it is to get through the forced story. Almost every cutscene had me screaming at the screen because of just how baffling it was, like none of the music matching the scene with bombastic choir and orchestral strings playing during the most inappropriate places. ![]() I had to drop 1 once I realized it was literally Char's Counterattack 2.0 and although I beat 2, it's plot is literally the worst thing I've ever had to sit through. I still can't believe how bad it is after all these years. More are still to come with plenty of big publishers pledging support for PS4 and PS3 games (and possibly even the PlayStation 5) for the foreseeable.God Eater has better combat mechanics (barely) but an absolutely horrid and baffling story that will make you want to pull your hair out in places. While there certainly are a lot of PS4 games eligible to be downloaded on PlayStation 4, some are pretty obscure and others are just padding - what’s with the old sports games? Here’s what we would recommend. Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition (until Monday, May 2nd, 2922) Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited PlayStation Now PS4 Games: D-H Source: YouTubeĮarth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair Bear in mind that all of the PS4 games will all also work on PS5.Īdventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridionīatman – the Telltale Series – Episode 1: Realm of Shadows Those temporarily available are highlighted in bold. We’ll try and keep this updated with which games are leaving the service and when, as well as what is coming in the future. ![]() Thinking of taking out a PlayStation Now subscription? Here all the PS4 games you can download or stream right now. Seen as a direct response to Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Now is in a better position than it ever has been, though the jury is still out on its long-term appeal. With a massive library of PS3 games not quite enough to convince gamers the similarly massive monthly price was worth it, they not too long released PS4 games for PlayStation Now that could be downloaded instead of streamed. The PS3 was certainly a bit of a wild card.īut Sony aren’t giving up on it just yet. The odd nature of the architecture of the PlayStation 3 makes streaming a necessity, which is one of the main reasons why we will never get comprehensive backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. Even then the games suffer from compressed resolution and constant stuttering. It demands a lot of your internet connection owing to it streaming all of its games, so those without superfast broadband need not apply. Despite being a service for quite a long time, it’s hard to suggest that PlayStation Now is vital to the PS4 experience – you aren’t exactly missing out on much if you don’t subscribe.
